Dr. Rastogi and Dr. Slevin, Co-Founders and CEO’s at North American Spine and Pain believe educating our patients, visitors and community is a positive way to help prevent further infection and keeping our loved ones safe. We are adhering to guidance from the CDC and have taken active roles in the education of our staff and patients daily, as well as adjusting our policies to keep everyone safe and slow the spread.
WHAT PATIENTS OF NASPAC NEED TO KNOW:
- We are seeing many of our patients via ‘Telemed’ for visits that may not require an in-person interaction. New patients can also be seen this way if they prefer.
- Should you need to come into one of our offices, we will ask that you remain in your vehicle and call upon arrival. You will be permitted to enter the building when a room is ready for you. Anybody accompanying you to your appointment will not be permitted to enter the suite.
- When you arrive, a medical assistant will take your temperature at the door. If you present a low-grade fever, you will be asked to reschedule.
- MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES BY STAFF AND PATIENTS. If you cannot adhere to this policy, you will not be permitted to enter.
- Our providers have taken extensive steps to avoid any contact or possible transmission of disease in any NASPAC facility. This includes staying six feet apart at any time possible, as well as constant sanitation of any surface that a patient or staff member may have touched with appropriate disinfectants. Our staff will also wear masks, gloves, hairnets, goggles and even gowns if close contact is necessary.
- Each exam room will be wiped down after each patient encounter, which was done before COVID-19, using McKesson Germicidal Surface Wipes
- Door handles will be wiped down after each patient is escorted in/out of the facility using Lysol/Clorox wipes.
- Regular terminal cleaning of our procedure rooms is performed by third parties and is always logged in our infection control book.
- Elective procedures may resume under state law in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone who tested positive, and you have been to one of our offices within the last 14 days, PLEASE ALERT US IMMEDIATELY.

We are doing our due diligence to make your visit in our office as quick as possible, from the time they step in the door to the time they leave. While you are in the waiting room, please sit at least 6-10 feet away from everyone else.
Purell is available in each room for patients and NASPAC staff to keep everyone sanitary.
The CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
