Douglas Pitchford, MD is a pain management specialist for North American Spine and Pain, board-certified in both anesthesiology and pain management.

After attending St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, Dr. Pitchford studied chemical engineering at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He then received his MD from Rutgers Medical School.

Dr. Pitchford completed his residency in anesthesiology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. He also holds a post-graduate fellowship in pain management from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick.

Dr. Pitchford is also a member of the Middlesex County Medical Society.

He is married to Maria Gonzalez-Pitchford and has two sons, Douglas and David. In his spare time, Dr. Pitchford is also an avid aquarist and scuba diver.
